Barbara Bennett

My work, in the main, is portrait and figurative painting and drawing.

I often work from photographs, thus enabling a degree of stage management. I paint largely in acrylics, but also in oils, watercolours and inks. I favour bright colour combinations, exaggeration and high contrast. I am interested in how society perceives aging, in art. A tenet of my practice is daily drawing or painting.
